Log of January 2008 Adventures:

  1. Mummy Mountain-winter ascent , Spring Mountains, Nevada- 1/02
  2. Boulder Peak- a seldom climbed, obscure peak in Lake Mead Area, Nevada- 1/13. It's a long and trailless route.
  3. Guardian Peak- another obscure and remote peak in Lake Mead Area, Nevada- 1/17. It's a long and trailless route.
  4. Cross Country Skiing on LVMC Trip to Brian Head, Utah- 1/21
  5. Arch Mountain High Point- seldom climbed peak in Lake Mead Area, Arizona {bonus- shoreline walk, wild burros and bighorn sheep}- 1/23. This hike starts at Bonelli Landing. It's a long and trailless route.
  6. Black Mountain near Henderson, Nevada- short and easy trail hike1/25

February

Log of February 2008 Adventures:

  1. Red Cathedral plus Golden Canyon-Gower Gulch loop near Zabriskie Point, Death Valley National Park, California- 2/6
  2. Dupont Mountain near Lake Mohave and Searchlight, Nevada- 2/8
  3. LVMC Rapelling Class in Calico Basin of Red Rocks, Nevada- 2/10
  4. Arch Mountain- an arduous , 17-mile hike to an obscure peak on the Arizona side of Lake Mead. The hike starts at Bonelli Landing- 2/18

March

  1. Cathedral Peak 808m- an obscure peak in Lake Mead Area, Nevada- 3/7
  2. Bridge Point {bonus- an encounter with Bighorn Sheep, both Rams and Ewes!} in Red Rocks, Nevada- 3/13
  3. Pyramid Peak {bonus- hundreds of wildflowers on the approach}, Lake Mead Area, Nevada- 3/17
  4. Cathedral Peak 822m- yet another obscure peak in Lake Mead Area, Nevada- one of five in Cathedral Peaks Group { bonus- an encounter with a small herd of Bighorn Rams}- 3/21
  5. Horn Toad Peak and Little Pyramid, Redstone Area of Lake Mead, Nevada {bonus- an encounter with three Southern Desert Horned Lizards} - 3/28
