Henry Jingle, a.k.a. Henry the Mountain Man
is a retired Engineering Manager. He holds engineering degrees from Los Angeles City College, UCLA and USC. He also held two Professional Engineering Certificates in California.

He became interested in the outdoors and photography in the Boy Scouts in Los Angeles.
After leaving work at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, he traveled in Europe for 6 months visiting 38 cities. Being a Genealogist interested in meeting living cousins, Henry also spent some time visiting his distant cousins in Poland, Sweden, Aland Islands, Finland and England during a number of trips to Europe.
Henry moved with his wife Anya to the Las Vegas Valley in 1996 and has been exploring the surrounding region. He is a member of the Las Vegas Mountaineers Club (www.lvmc.org). With new friends he has met here, he is learning new outdoor skills, including rock climbing, canyoneering, snowshoeing, cross country skiing to name a few. The Garmin GPS has become his outdoor companion which allows him to document his adventures with tracks, topo routes and profiles.
Henry calls himself an Imagineer, Adventurer, Photojournalist and Author. As an Imagineer and Adventurer, Adventure Internet was born and adventureinternet.com was envisioned to share the beauty of outdoor adventures with family and friends and other people interested in these activities.
To give back to the community, Henry is an occasional Guest Teacher in the local Middle Schools and High School. He enjoys working with the students.
As a Senior Citizen, Henry enjoys using his Golden Age Passport to do adventures in sandstone mountains of Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead National Recreational Area and the National Parks and Monuments in the Southwest including Great Basin, Grand Canyon and Zion.
He has climbed Mount Whitney via the Mountaineer Route and twelve 14,000 foot peaks in Colorado including Mt Elbert and Mt Massive. Each year, Henry is working on climbing all the 14ers in the lower 48 States and also each of the State High Points along with the Las Vegas Mountaineers Club’s 50 classic peaks.
Henry and Anya have written a number of adventure articles for the local newspaper and he enjoys giving talks to local senior groups on hiking and genealogy.
Henry is a member of the Las Vegas Territory (www.lvterritory.com) and is working on other websites to provide a data base of outdoor activities in and around the Las Vegas Valley , Henderson and within a day’s drive of McCarran Airport . He hopes these new websites will improve the enjoyment of the Southwestern United States by millions of visitors and locals.
