Mount Olympus also known as Óros Ólimbos

Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece, Europe.

It lies near the east coast, where it gazes out to the Aegean Sea. It is one of the highest mountains in Europe in real absolute altitude from its base (located at the sea level) to the top.

The highest peak on Mount Olympus is Mytikas at 2917 meters (9,570 feet) which means "The Nose" in Greek. Skolio (2912 m) is the second highest.

In Greek mythology Mount Olympus was the home of Twelve Olympians, the most famous gods that included Zeus (The King of Gods and Goddesses), Hera, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hepheastus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, Artemis and others. The entrance to Olympus was a great gate of clouds kept by the godesses named the Seasons. The gods feasted on ambrosia and nectar and were entertained by Apollo, the god of music and the Muses.
