On December 1, 2007 Henry the Mountain Man helped set a World Record at the Santa Gathering (held by Opportunity Village) on the Fremont Street Experience, Las Vegas, Nevada.

There were 7269 Santas. The Santa Gathering included both a 1 mile and 5 km run. Henry the Mountain Man finished the 5 km run with a smile on a beautiful winter day in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately, the world record was short lived. A week later 12,000 Santas participated in a gathering in Northern Ireland.

The challenge is on to retake the world record at Opportunity Village's next Santa Gathering. The next Santa Gathering is scheduled for December 6, 2008.
